About Us

APPEIRC is a statutory body set up by the Government of Arunachal Pradesh by passing an act in the Legislative in the year 2017. The first Commission started functioning from 1st July,2020 with the Chairperson Shri Marnya Ete (IAS) Rtd. The Commission is mandated to ensure that standards of admission, teaching, examinations, research, extension programmes, qualified teachers and infrastructure are being maintained by the private educational institutions in accordance with guidelines issued by the Regulatory Bodies of the central Government or the State Government from time to time. The Commission consist of a Chairperson, two Members and a Secretary to the Commission.

Dr. A. K. Tripathy

Secretary

Dr.A.K.Tripathy joined as a Secretary to the Commissionin June, 2021. A Ph.D. in engineering, Dr. A.K.Tripathy has long standing experience in project, research, education and administration in various organizations. He is currently a honorary "Technical Advisor" to Regional Institute of World's Ancient Tradition, Culture & heritage (RIWATCH). He has received a couple of National and International award too.

Marnya Ete (IAS) Rtd.

Chairperson

Shri Marnya Ete IAS (Rtd.) has joined Arunachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission as Chairperson on 06th July, 2020. He has been a career bureaucrat and has served the Government of Arunachal Pradesh in various capacities for more than 35 years. He has been awarded State, Gold Medal and President of India, Silver Medal in recognition of his meritorious service rendered to the govt. of Arunachal Pradesh and the UT of Lakshadweep respectively. He has vast administrative experience as a civil servant. He is one of the longest serving Deputy Commissiones in the state and has done lots of innovative works as Commissioner Tax & Excise, Industry and Education etc.etc. He retired as Commissioner PHED in 2019. He is the first Chairperson of Arunachal Pradesh Private Educational Institutions Regulatory Commission

Prof. (Dr.) Harish Kumar Sardana

Member

Prof.(Dr.) Harish Kumar Sardana has been a Professor and Chief Scientist at AcSIR/CSIR - Central Scientific Instruments Organisation, Chandigarh, joined as a Member of APPEIRC on 2 May 2022. Dr. Sardana has worked in CSIR- CSIO since 1982 and became Professor- Coordinator of MTech/Ph.D. programs n AcSIR-CSIO in 2009. He has about 145 research papers, 5 book chapters and more than 30 research projects completed to his credit. He has guided 18 PhD scholars and a few are under submission/progress. He has 22 international patents granted and a few are under process. He has served as Chairperson/Member of various academic/research bodies. He has been invited for about 150 national and interaction presentations, of which more than 30 are available on YouTube.
